From New York, students headed across the Atlantic Ocean to the country of Ireland where they learned about the legend of St. Patrick. As the legend goes, St. Patrick chased the snakes out of Ireland because they were eating the potato crop. Students played a game where they passed a potato around a circle to music and when the song said "snakes," the person with the potato had to get up and dance an Irish Jig. It was such a silly game but students had fun!
