Cruise Stop #14 - Egypt
Egypt is a country that has the only remaining original Seven Wonders of the World. It is the Pyramids of Giza. There is much speculation about how the huge stones were moved. One theory is that the stones were moved upon round cylinders. Students played a game where they moved one person, who was sitting on a kick board, across swim noodles by continuously moving the noodles forward so that the kick board would stay on top. The person on the kick board was holding a cardboard brick and took it to a specific location where they used it to make a pyramid. This was quite a cooperative activity! Other students used speed cups to stack in the formation of a pyramid. This activity uses alternating hands and is a great brain activity.
