"Three Cheers for Mom" is the Early Childhood Mom's Day Theme

Early Childhood celebrated Mom's Day on Friday, May 8, with a wonderful "Three Cheers for Mom" theme.  Mothers were invited to school to spend the afternoon with their child(ren) and visit different activities that were set up both inside and outside. Children and mothers made picture frames, hand print poems, glasses, medals, and pennants.  They also went outside to enjoy the football throw, beanbag toss, soccer kick, pyramid building with giant cups, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, photo booth, and face painting. The music room was also open for music exploration with some very fun instruments.  It was also fun to watch moms sign our "Mom's Wall of Fame."  So many mothers were involved in a big variety of activities when they were in high school and college.  From athletics to class officers to National Honor Society, we discovered that our moms are quite accomplished and have had many achievements throughout their lives.  The afternoon concluded with a pep rally in the gym that honored mothers with a special walk through where all the students applauded.  Children did cheers, sang the Early Childhood Spartan Spirit Song, tossed balls and t-shirts into the crowd, and did a special dance with their mothers to the song "Roar."  It was a great afternoon and I thank you for attending.  I hope your Mother's Day was truly special!
