The Mother Goose Parade

When Halloween nears it is always fun to see the children dress in costume for the annual Early Childhood Mother Goose parade and enchanted library.  I am always amazed at the creativity of the costumes.  Children enjoy parading around the quadrangle dressed in their nursery rhyme or fairy tale costumes and parents have a blast taking pictures and smiling at their loved ones. Thank you to everyone who attended the parade and helped with classroom Fall celebrations.

Mr. Elmore, the music teacher, dressed as Old King Cole.

Here's the cat and the fiddle and another cat who lost her mittens.

Our current EC librarian dressed as Mother Goose and I dressed as the
maid in the garden from Sing a Song of Six Pence who had her nose
snipped by a black bird while hanging out the clothes.

Former librarian, Mrs. Mattix, returned to the enchanted library
to lead students in Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes.

Thank you to our special librarians and the Friends of the Library volunteers for all their hard work in preparing the enchanted library for students, parents, teachers, and staff, to stroll through and see the actors do their versions of the rhymes and fairy tales. It was a fun day.
