The early childhood division celebrated Mother's Day early with an afternoon of fun activities around the theme "Exploring Nature With Mom." There were so many great activities that made mom feel special. One of the activities that had to do with physical activity was the "Movin' With Mom" scavenger hunt. Using a sheet with pictures, students and mothers located various landmarks within the play space, quadrangle, and butterfly garden. Once there, they did a designated activity together. At the final station, students and moms were allowed to select a prize. It was great fun to see students interacting with their mothers in such a fun way. At the end of the event, students sang a song with Mr. Elmore and did a dance with Mrs. Wagner, despite a sound system that was less than cooperative. Overall, it was a great afternoon. I hope all mothers enjoyed their special day.
