Pre-Kindergarten 50th Day of School 50's Sock Hop

What a fun event for Pre-Kindergarten students as they participated in the 50th day of school 50's sock hop.  The event took place in the Lair Center and many students came dressed in 50's attire. Everyone looked fabulous! There was a discussion about what a sock hop was, vinyl records and record players, fun dancing to the bunny hop and twist, a hula hoop contest for parents, root beer floats, and photo opportunities for everyone.  Such a wonderful morning.  Thank you to Pre-K teachers Cathy Gray, Amanda Leger, Barbara Burcham, and Kristen Freed for making the day so memorable for students. A special thank you to maintenance personnel, Tina Clayton, for setting up the Lair Center for our event.  I hope all the parents who attended the sock hop enjoyed it as much as the children.
