Young Author's Conference was held last Friday, March 31, for students in Kindergarten through Grade 4. This year's author, Patrick Jennings, loves to write about animals and pets. The students enjoyed his talk about his inspirations for writing and loved watching him draw. Later students visited the author and the wonderful displays of student authored books and dioramas. Some students had a book autographed by the visiting author. Students visited the Lower School science room to listen to a talk from the Science teacher on the care of various pets, and then went to the gymnasium to run through an improvised "dog agility course." Students had a fun time on this very special day. Thank you to the library staff and the Friends of the Library for organizing such a fun event.
