Great Times at our Kentucky Derby

We had a great time at our annual Early Childhood Kentucky Derby.  The event has grown in popularity over the years so students, parents, teachers, and staff all look forward to this special day. I have to say that the hats were absolutely fabulous this year for our "Run for the Roses" in Physical Education.  Thank you for all the hard work that you put in to making the hats!  They certainly added to the festive atmosphere of the Derby.

If you have a child who will be in Early Childhood next year, hang on to your hat. We'll be doing this event again the first week in May, 2018.

Be sure to check out the links below for pictures of each class participating in our version of the Kentucky Derby.

Watching the race from the grandstand with our homemade binoculars.

A proud moment in the winner's circle.

Fancy hats are everywhere at the Kentucky Derby.

I enjoyed taking my great-nieces to a Kentucky Derby lunch at the Hereford House.
