Early Childhood Dad's Day 2018: "My Dad's a Classic"

It was great fun for children, dads, guests, faculty, and staff, as we all celebrated Early Childhood Dad's Day on Friday, September 14.  The "My Dad's a Classic" car theme was fun, with activities centered around classic cars.  Many people wore their classic car t-shirts and enjoyed the display of classic cars and trucks in the parking lot.  Even a fire truck joined in the fun.

Activities were plentiful for everyone.  Shave a dad, match box car races, build a garage, car tattoos, drag races on flying turtles, cardboard box car races, making car tracks in shaving cream and ink pads, decorating small wooden cars, music exploration, open gym, root beer floats, and a special song for dad all provided an afternoon that kept everyone busy.

The gymnasium was an especially busy location.  Dads and their children enjoyed shooting baskets, riding scooters, climbing rope, catching yarn balls with scoops, riding hippity hops, tapping balloons, putting golf balls, doing pull-ups, playing ring toss, doing gymnastics, and many other physical activities.  It was great fun.

Thanks to everyone who came out to share in this very special afternoon.
