Miniature Golf Day and World Gratitude Day

September 21, 2018, was miniature golf day.  A small putting course was set up in the gym and kindergarten students got to work on hitting the golf ball into the various cups.  We talked about proper grip, bringing the putter back slowly, and stroking through the golf ball on the follow through.  This is a skill that takes considerable practice, so should improve with time and more exposure to the skill.  Students really enjoy miniature golf.

This day was also recognized as World Gratitude Day.  Some preschool classes played a game called "Thank you" tag.  There was a tagger and a rescuer.  In order to get unfrozen after being tagged, students had to tell their rescuer "thank you" after he/she crawled through the frozen person's legs.

A tagger chases a classmate.

The tagged person will be free after someone crawls through his legs and then he thanks them.

The tagged person is now free but must first shake the hand of the rescuer and say "thank you."
