Today I am excited to post a link to an additional activity for Early Childhood Fun Friday on May 1. I have planned a virtual field day for all early childhood students. This field day is entirely different from a typical field day. The theme is "Family Fun Field Day - One Minute Challenges" and consists of 25 different activities that you can do as a family, using equipment from around the house. There's everything from paper plates to rolled up socks. Instead of competing in an event against someone, each person is challenged to see how many times they can do an activity in one minute. Later, you can repeat the activity and see if your original score can be beaten. A score card is available for you to print for each family member and the scorecard has video links for every challenge. Be sure to read the video message from Mrs. Wagner at the top of the scorecard.
I am posting the link today so you can gather up some of the supplies that you might need for this event on Friday. The scorecard has the equipment needed for each challenge. It's going to be a nice day so get outside and "challenge" yourself. I hope I receive a few pictures of your family participating in our Family Fun Field Day. If you do not have time to do this activity on Friday, just pick a day that is more convenient for your family.
Thanks, again, to the OPEN PHYS ED program and PE teachers from around the country for their ideas, and to the four senior boys who videoed the challenges for me. EC administrators were also instrumental in orchestrating this entire event. Thank you very much.
Have a great field day and send pictures!
