Students came prepared for our annual Kentucky Derby and it was great fun. We sang a bit of "My Old Kentucky Home," drank lemonade mint juleps with real mint, rode stick horses around the gym, and watched the race with our homemade binoculars. What fun! Students and parents really did a great job decorating the hats this year. Thank you so much. They looked amazing! I hope you will take time to watch the real Kentucky Derby on TV this Friday. Coverage is from 3-6 pm, with the race time at 5:24 pm. Based on name alone, each class has chosen a horse from the Kentucky Derby field. If their horse wins, the entire class gets roses!
