There was a dragon, sparkle wands, noise makers, musical instruments, lanterns, and symbols for the Year of the Goat/Sheep. Many EC students dressed in red or traditional Chinese clothes and all students received a red envelope at the end of the parade. In China, this envelope is usually filled with money and candy but our envelopes had two pennies for good luck, a fortune cookie, and a hug coupon, redeemable with any other person. Happy Chinese New Year!
