On Friday, February 13, 2015, Wichita Collegiate Lower School students will participate in the 31st annual Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart event. These are longstanding traditions at WCS and, over the years, our students have helped raise a lot of money for the American Heart Association. The children work hard, have fun, and take much pride in their success. The event will be held in the north and south gyms beginning at 8:30 a.m. Physical Education majors from Wichita State University will be volunteering their time at the event to work with students in the games, run the Hoops for Heart portion of the morning, and assist students with the long rope turning at Jump Rope for Heart. Kindergarten students will come to the gymnasium to visit these activities in order to see what is involved and what they will get to do next year. They always leave the event very excited. If you have the opportunity, please stop by the gyms to check out what is going on. It's always a fun time!
