Mrs. Gray's kindergarten class recently celebrated the 50th day of school with a 50's sock hop. I had the privilege of working with the students on different dances like the stroll, box step, and jitterbug. It was so fun to watch the students work together and have such a nice time. We also worked on how to use a hula hoop. The event was great fun and the students definitely had the 50's look. Mrs. Gray and I decorated the annex area to look like a sock hop. There was also a bubble gum blowing contest, hula hoop contest, photo booth and a soda shop for root beer floats. What a fun idea! Thank you, Mrs. Gray, for asking me to help. I loved it!
