Students enjoyed participating in our annual Kentucky Derby held in Physical Education. The gym was set up like a race track and students had fun riding stick horses around the track. For fun we added a grandstand, binoculars, lemonade mint juleps, a starting gate, the traditional trumpet call to post, beautiful and creative hats, and roses for the winning jockey and horse. It was great fun for everyone. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to create the fabulous hats that the children wore. They added such an element of fun to our event.
