Thursday and Friday of this week, May 4 and 5, we will hold our annual Early Childhood "Kentucky Derby" in Physical Education. Students are very excited about this event. We'll have homemade binoculars, lemonade mint juleps, a grandstand, starting gates, the trumpet call to post, a partial singing of "My Old Kentucky Home", a winner's circle, roses for the horse and jockey, and fun hats.
All classes have chosen an actual horse for the real "Run for the Roses" and if their class horse wins the race on Saturday then everyone in the class gets to take home a red rose. Good luck to all classes.
