"Legend of the Northern Lights" Wichita Symphony Orchestra Concert

Last year when our theme was "Physical Education: It's a Natural," the most popular natural wonder of the world that we studied was the Northern Lights.  Children talked about it all year long and I was so impressed with how well they understood my abbreviated explanation of this natural phenomenon.  Our activities with light up balloons in the dark and yoga under the changing lights made for memorable experiences.

This Saturday, November 11, at 4:00 pm, the Wichita Symphony is presenting a family concert at Century II Concert Hall, entitled Legend of the Northern Lights. Astronomer, Jose Francisco Salgado, and the symphony will work together to explore the aurora borealis.  The concert will be one hour in length and appropriate for children 3 years of age and up.

If you have a child who took great interest in this natural wonder last year, you might want to consider attending.  More information is available at 316-267-7658 or WichitaSymphony.org.
