The last part of this week in Physical Education, students had fun going back to the cup stacking activity where I asked a question about our many different landmarks and they answered. Correct answers earned a cup on their stacking cup totem pole. I asked questions, and sketched reminder pictures on the white board, about the actual landmark, the location, or the activity we did related to the landmark. It was fun and gave me feedback on how much the children were learning.
I just wanted to share with you how pleased I am with the amount of information that children are learning. There's some occasional prompting going on but, for preschool through kindergarten age, their retention is quite impressive. They take a lot of pride in remembering the facts about our many locations. I hope your child has been sharing some information with you at home.
