September 25, 2018 is National Comic Book Day. We played "Super Hero Tag" in Physical Education. Using a foam Frisbee, taggers (either Lex Luther or the Penguin) tried to freeze classmates who were running around within a designated boundary. If tagged, a person had to freeze with a hand up in a "high five" position and wait for either Superman or Batman to jump in front of him, place his hands on his hips, and in a deep voice call out, "I'll save you." The rescuer then gave the frozen person a high five and that person returned to the game. We changed super heroes and villains often. This game was a workout and children were tired afterwards. They had fun, though. Everybody loves a super hero!
