Although the Chinese/Asian New Year is next week during our conference dates (2/5/19), Friday, February 1, is the day that we will celebrate with parades through the hallways of some of our buildings throughout the day. I am encouraging students to wear red, as it is a lucky color in China. Students are also invited to wear a shirt with a dragon or oriental writing and, of course, seeing students in their native costumes is always a treat for the students, faculty, and staff. We will take a class photo after the parade. Hopefully, you received a note home already reminding you of this event.
