#6 - "Spartans in Action" and Important Announcements

Nicer weather this week helped children get outside for many different activities.  Yeah!! Keep up the good work and send me your pictures or short videos.

IMPORTANT
I hope today you are participating in the FAMILY FUN FIELD DAY - ONE MINUTE CHALLENGES that I posted yesterday.  Scroll down to yesterday's post to find the link to the scorecard and videos.  It's going to be a lot of fun.

Remember, too, that next week is Cinco de Mayo.  Get your cascarones (confetti filled eggs) ready.  Earlier this week I posted some videos on how to make them and mentioned that they were on clearance at the Northrock Walmart for 21 cents a carton, if you don't want to make your own.  I'll post a couple of videos next Monday to prepare you for our Wednesday, May 5th, Cinco de Mayo activities.

These two boys are so proud because both are now riding a two wheel bike.
I love that they chose to pose in front of the "WE GOT THIS" sign.

Some days were perfect for riding a bike.

Bike riding was a popular activity this week due to nice weather.

These two boys prepare to do a warm-up with pro football player, Ryan Kerrigan.
His video is one of several NFL videos linked to my April 17 post.

These brothers played a game inside their grandparents'
screened in deck.  The game was like lawn darts.

This student tries out the jump and hop
activity from the April 6 post. Great job!

Dribbling a soccer ball is always good practice.

Riding an EZY ROLLER looks like so much fun!

These brothers used their soccer goal as a badminton net.  Good thinking.

This student made an outdoor obstacle course last week,
so this week made an indoor obstacle course. It looks fun.

It was a great day to take a walk.
That's one of my forms of exercise, as well.

Working out with family members is a daily occurrence for this student.
Father and son are working out to a video.

This child's family hatched butterflies from caterpillars and
released them during the week of Earth Day. How beautiful.

This student did one of my earth day suggestions from the April 23 post.
He and his mother painted rocks and placed them in a special location.  Nice job!

YOU ROCK!!

This child will enjoy the beautiful rocks he placed in the garden.

It was a great day to shoot baskets.

One family used sidewalk chalk to trace around their daughter
who posed in 4 different ballet positions.  This is position 1.

This is position 2.

 This is position 3.

This is position 4.

Stay happy, healthy, and ACTIVE.
