Cruise Stop #8 - The Netherlands (Holland)

Holland was filled with fun activities. Students learned the legend of the little dutch boy who supposedly saved his town from flooding by putting his finger in a hole in the dike. We played a cooperative game with a bucket filled with holes. As water was added, students had to work together to plug up the holes and keep the water from leaking out. It was fun! Students also learned about field hockey, which is very popular in the Netherlands. Once again, students got the chance to work on striking skills. There was also a little speed skating and learning how to do a windmill exercise.
