Cruise Stop #9 - England

Many children remembered England because of the Summer Olympics. In PE, we played games familiar to the English people. We played “Shove Ha’ Penny,”a tabletop shuffleboard game played with coins. They loved this game! Students also played a tag game called “Tiggy off Ground.” A “tig” is what the English call a tag. In this game a person's feet must be off the ground to keep from getting tagged. We set up cones to step on for safe zones. However, there was a 3 second limit for staying on a base. This game kept children moving.
