Final "Run for the White House" on Election Day

On Election Day, Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School students ran on the track to complete the final phase of our "Run for the White House" activity. Early Childhood students had completed the 1,280 mile journey from Wichita to Washington D.C. over a week ago. The other divisions added their miles on today so that we could make it back to Wichita from the nation's capital. Together all students ran over 2,600 miles during this three month activity. Congratulations. As students ran a lap on the track they placed a Popsicle stick in the box. Four sticks equaled one mile. Thank you to Don Funke and Troy Black whose lower school and middle school students contributed miles, as well as 8th grade English teacher, Christine Dunleavy, who walked twice a day at school to add miles to our total. Thanks to all students for dressing in red, white, and blue for this special day!
