What a great morning it was as Early Childhood Students celebrated the 155th birthday of Kansas with Pioneer Day in the south gym on Friday, January 29.  Stations were set up for calf/steer roping, pioneer games, quilting, storytelling/music, washing clothes, grinding corn, butter making, eating cornbread muffins, petting farm animals, and peeling/eating apples.  At the end of event, students, parents, grandparents, teachers, and staff were invited to come out to the gym floor to scatter square dance.  What a great event.  We were fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers who helped make this day so special for our students.  Thank you so much!  We hope you had as much fun as the students.
