Students were surprised to find that riding horses is an Olympic event. The individual jumping event was set up in the gym due to inclement weather. Students used a stick horse and jumped over mini hurdles. There were also hoops that they had to gallop around. Children also learned that there are penalties in this event for knocking down a fence rail so they tried very hard to be careful.
