When everyone returned from holiday break, it was fun celebrating the new year in Physical Education. Using the computer, we watched the ball drop in Times Square then had our own "ball drop," complete with music and noise makers. Following this, students played a game called Happy New Year. This activity had them moving to music, organizing themselves at Times Square with a specific number of people in a group, and counting down the last ten seconds of the song before jumping up and shouting "Happy New Year." In the end, students gave each other a handshake, high five, or hug. It was great fun!
