Early Childhood Pioneer Day - 2018 - Happy Birthday Kansas!

It was a good time at the Early Childhood Pioneer Day festivities. Students, faculty, staff, parents, grandparents, and friends celebrated the 157th birthday of Kansas with fun activities related to the pioneer days.  There was music, story telling, washing clothes on a washboard, grinding corn, eating cornbread muffins, churning butter, watching a spinner and quilter, viewing and petting several farm animals, roping a sawhorse steer and calf, playing pioneer games, and slicing and eating apples. The event finished up with some scatter square dancing that kept everyone moving.  Yee hah!  Thank you to the many volunteers who helped out with this fantastic event and to the many teachers, staff, and administrators, who helped organize events.  What a fun morning!
