It's hard to believe, but we are currently at our last stop on our United States landmark tour. Students are visiting Chicago and learning about Wrigley Field. They are working on some batting activities and playing a game called "Beat the Batter."

Kindergarten students also learned about the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) in downtown Chicago. We talked about BASE jumping and how people parachute from various buildings, antennas, bridges, and cliffs around the world. This has been done from places like the Sears tower and Empire State building by many people, mostly professional parachutists, or those parachutists filming movies like Transformers 3. We did a cooperative activity with equipment called "floaters" that are made from parachute material. We worked in two teams to see which team could keep their parachute up in the air the longest. It was a wild game.
