Halloween Match Game

Students have recently been working hard on their physical education routines for our upcoming Thanksgiving/Grandparent's Day program on Friday, November 16. Today we decided to take a break and do something different.  A few of my Pre-K classes did a Halloween match game relay.  They were divided into teams and took turns running out to find matching Halloween pictures that were on the reverse side of paper plates.  If two people had the same picture and both needed the other one to match their picture, the two students drew cards from the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" card deck and the winner got to return to the cone with the matching pictures.  At the end, students counted up their matches.  It was fun and started getting us all in the Halloween spirit.

Students pick up one paper plate and try to find the match.

This student found two brooms.

These two students both picked up the black cat so they had to draw a card from the Rock, Paper, Scissors deck.  Rock crushes scissors!
