A Great Day for Grandparents and Parents

Everyone who attended the Thanksgiving/Grandparent's Day program on Friday, November 16, was certainly treated to a special event.  The children sang wonderfully, with the annual Turkey Tango being the highlight of the entire morning.  The children also performed the physical education portion beautifully.  Their routines with parachutes, exercise balls for drums, scarves, ribbon wands, and sign language were done with enthusiasm and love.  Many thanks to everyone who attended this special program.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Mr. Elmore leads students through the Turkey Tango.

Pre-kindergarten students do a small parachute routine to "If We Didn't Have Colors."

Turning the parachute in a circle.

Shaking the parachute high.

Kindergarten students used exercise balls as drums to perform to "Aloha, E Komo Mai."

Moving with the "two step, dig it."

Moving the sticks like windshield wipers.

Kindergarten students make a dome with the parachute.
They performed to "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride."

 Inside the mountain.

The Kindergarten scarf routine to "Oh How the Years Go By" is dedicated to headmaster,
Tom Davis, who is retiring at the end of this school year after 18 years at the helm.

The entire Kindergarten group does "cross and open."

Students perform sweeps with their scarves.

Students turn in a circle with their scarves.

Preschool children use ribbon wands for their routine to
Tom. T. Hall's classic song "Sneaky Snake."

Wands are waving high during the routine.
