Kentucky Derby for Thursday classes

It was a great day for the Kentucky Derby in Physical Education.  Students had fun galloping around the gym on their stick horses.  We sang "My Old Kentucky Home," drank lemonade mint juleps, ate mint, and cheered for the final winner in each class.  What fun!  Thank you to everyone who made our day so special by bringing or creating a fabulous hat.  It's been fun to see so many of them sitting on top of the lockers in the hallway.  It looks so festive!

I will add tomorrow's photos after all the class races are over on Friday.

Be sure to turn on the television this Saturday to watch the real Kentucky Derby.  Each class has chosen a horse and will be cheering it on.  The winning class will get roses on Monday morning.  Best of luck to all the classes.
