Preparing for the last day of school beach party

Students have begun working on their dances for the end of year early childhood beach party in the quad on the last day of school before the 11:15 dismissal.  We will start around 10:30 and do several dances like the twist, swim, hukilau, limbo, bunny hop, and conga.  Families are invited to participate with their children and join in the fun. Afterwards, everyone will enjoy popsicles.

Students are encouraged to dress in Hawaiian type clothing, although no swimsuits are permitted.  Hats, sunglasses, flowery shirts, shorts, pants, or dresses, leis, grass skirts, or flowers in hair are all a good look.  Even tops or shorts with beach scenes, boats, or marine life will work for this event.  The children should have a very fun time and will enjoy seeing you there.

 Learning the limbo.

During the twist, students point to the sky looking for the "twister."

During part of the twist, students add monkey arms.

Classes work on the Conga.  1,2,3, kick!
