What a Great Pioneer Day!

Everyone had a wonderful time today at the Early Childhood Pioneer Day event held in honor of the 159th birthday of our state, Kansas.  The children came dressed in their pioneer outfits and rotated to ten different areas.  They learned a lot about life on the prairie.  Thank you to all the faculty and staff who took their students through the stations, and to the many friends, parent, and grandparent volunteers who came to assist at our event.

The day started with some energetic music from a fiddler, guitarist, and banjo player who entertained the children as they came in, and ended with some fun scatter square dancing.  Thanks to everyone who came out to dance with the children.  They love having you there.
