"Jr. NBA at Home" Program Helps Children Work on Basketball Skills

While looking for some basketball activities for students to work on at home, I stumbled across a program recently launched by the NBA in response to the need for social distancing.  The program is called Jr. NBA at Home and features videos of coaches and players from both the NBA and WNBA.  These videos take boys and girls through basic drills and ball skills that are meant to help them with their game.  Children can pick the video they are interested in, watch it, and then try it on their own.  They can be done at any time and at your child's own pace.  Simply save the link or return to this post to find the site.

Please note that the when you go to the original Jr. NBA at Home site and click on one of their 74 different videos, you will be directed to a YouTube video. Please review the video first.  Although the content of the videos is safe and directed towards children, be aware that occasional sidebar content, or ads that pop up on YouTube after a video, could possibly be confusing for young children.  If you find a video that your child really likes, you can go to safeyoutube.net and paste the link into the box to generate a new link free from ads and sidebars.  Simply save that link for future reference.

PS - If you are a University of Kansas fan, Devonte Graham has posted a video to the Jr. NBA at Home site.

HAVE FUN IMPROVING YOUR BASKETBALL SKILLS.

If you''d like, send me a picture of your child practicing.
