Traveling to Spain, students played a game called “Las
Quatro Esquinas” which means “The Four Corners.” In this game there are four corner hoops with a certain number of people
allowed in each hoop. One
hoop is in the middle with the remainder of the children. On
the phrase “las quatro esquinas,” children must run to a different hoop in one of the four corners. Children in the middle try to beat out the people in the corners and make
it to a corner hoop before they do. People left over must move to the center hoop and the game is played again. Students enjoyed this running game.
