March 13 is the annual Early Childhood Read and Romp Day

Monday, March 13, is the annual Early Childhood Read and Romp Day.  This special event, which is a collaborative activity between the Physical Education and Library, has children coming to the gymnasium where parent volunteers read a short picture book and do a fun physical activity with the group.  There are 10 stations, with each station lasting only 12 minutes.  It is a whirlwind of activity, but everyone enjoys it.

Parent volunteers should have received an email from me regarding their volunteer assignment.  If not, please contact me at kathywagner@wcsks.com and I will resend the information,  All jobs are easy and fun, and children love seeing their family members on this special day.

Please make sure that your child is prompt in arriving at school, as many classes are coming to the event within 10 minutes of arrival time.  Also, make sure your child is wearing tennis shoes.  This will help them during the physical activity portion of each station.

The following classes are coming in the morning: Collier, Reeder, Snyder AM, Gallagher AM, Ritter AM, Freed AM, Godwin AM, Manamperi AM, and Burcham AM/All Day

The following classes will come in the afternoon: Burcham PM/All Day, Gray, Leger, Dennill, Ghosh, Meisch, Drew, Manamperi PM, and Snyder PM.

Look for the card that your child will bring home.  It will have all the books on it that were read during the event and you can discuss them with your child.  Thank you for your assistance in making this day an enjoyable one for our early childhood students.  It's going to be a great day!
