Cruise Stop #24 - South Africa

For South Africa we watched a short video about one of their animal reserves that helps protect animals like giraffes, elephants, zebras, rhinos, hippos, monkeys, lions, and cheetahs.  We talked about endangered animals and why they need protecting.  Students participated in some fun movement activities that mimicked the monkey, lion, cheetah, and zebra.  We used the songs, "Monkey See, Monkey Do", Cheetahs Can't Cha Cha", "Zoltan the Zebra", and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."  Some classes also did a dance from South Africa called "Pata Pata."

Imitating the monkeys.

Some rolling arms for the cha cha song.
