Moving Through the Months Kindergarten Field Day

Kindergarten Field Day, which will be held on Wednesday, April 24, in the south gym and quadrangle, will have the theme, "Moving Through the Months." Stations will be set up with games and activities that relate to something that takes place during each of the twelve months.  Examples of activities include a snowball fight for January, a finger rocket launch activity to recognize the 50th anniversary of the moon landing in July, the frightful Frisbee throw for October, and a hamburger relay for Labor Day in September.  All together there should be around 24 different stations.  It will be a wonderful afternoon.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that the weather stays nice so we can do the outdoor stations.

In the glass display case near the main entryway, I have placed a small display with a list of all volunteers who signed up to help with this special day.  Volunteers have been divided into 8 different groups and will be responsible for about 8 students in a group.  All volunteers are asked to be in the south gym on April 24th at 12:15 pm.  We will review the events together and the kindergarten students will arrive at 12:50.  Volunteers are encouraged to dress comfortably, including tennis shoes and a visor or hat.  Sunscreen may also be necessary.  Water will be provided for everyone but you are welcome to bring your own.

I look forward to this very fun day.  If you have any questions, please contact me at kathywagner@wcsks.com or call me at 316-771-2207.
