Early Childhood Sidewalk Art Gets a Makeover

Over the Labor Day weekend preschool teacher, Mrs. Newlin, music teacher, Mr. Elmore and his sons, and local artist and Collegiate parent, Charles Baughman, came to school to help me with a BIG project.  Our quadrangle sidewalk paintings needed a serious makeover.  We spent the day touching up past projects and added several new ones.  We also added words to much of the art work to give teachers, students, and parents an idea of what can be done in each location.  Many thanks to all individuals who gave up part of their weekend to help with this much needed project.  It looks awesome!

I hope you will take time to visit the quadrangle and try out some of the activities.  Even though we have given suggestions of things to do, children will come up with their own ideas and that makes it even more fun.  Enjoy!
